Lost

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The episode of "Lost" tonight was so good. I was sitting on the edge of my seat ("bed") the whole time. The ending was the most dramatic and I honestly don't know how I am going to wait a whole week for the next episode. I have to find out what happens. AAHHHHHH!!!!!! Anywhoos, this happens to be the first show that I have ever watched religiously. I have seen every episode since it started and it is definitely the highlight of my Wednesdays. I started watching just because Dominic Monaghan was in it. I love him. He is an awesome HOBBIT!! Then I became hooked because of him AND the story idea. Last week I freaked out because over Thanksgiving break a 2 hour "Bachelor" special took the place of "LOST". GRRRR!!!!! Oh well, at least I didn't miss anything. I was first scared that maybe I had missed an episode because it had been moved to a different time, but that was not the case. I highly suggest this show for everyone, except little ones. It can get a little scary sometimes. *wink wink* (I'm a wimp, I know!!)

Coffee House

Phew!! The Newman Center Coffee House was sure a lot of fun but it was also a great deal of work too. I sing in the "Newman Voices" which was the featured choir for that event. We had 2 huge rehearsals the week before that lasted 5-6 hours each. Man, my throat hurt after those rehearsals. The day of the concert we had another rehearsal and then a soundcheck. He (Our director) kept telling us to not speak and especially scream or shout the entire weekend of the concert. That is kind of hard for my friends and I to do. The concert went great and we got a standing ovation. I had so much fun hanging out with my choir buddies.

Thanksgiving Football!!

I must admit...There's not much in the world that can beat Thanksgiving tackle football with all of your closest friends. Well, technically we did not play until the Friday after but we had an awesome time. About fifteen people showed up at Gebby's house on Friday around 1:30 but only eight of us wanted to actually play football. (It had snowed earlier that week and some people did not want to get wet and then become really cold.) We ended up driving to Nick's house to play football. Six guys, Claire and I played for about an hour or so. I have to admit...it was pretty cold outside but it was really worth it. The final score was...A TIE!!!! GRRRR!!!! No winner!! Oh well. *shrugs* Anyways, it was so slippery that it was hard to run with the ball and not end up killing yourself, (I have the bruises to prove it.) so that was why each team only scored twice. As we were walking back from the field towards Nick's house (where the rest of the group was hanging out) I decided to do my traditional slip 'n' slide move down a hill of snow on my stomach. Since I wasn't wearing a jacket or even a sweater, my stomach was so cold that it tightened up really bad and got red. I also got some bad scrapes on my elbows from ice. I love being stupid!! It was very cold but was so much fun, besides the guys are really cute and offer their jackets to the girls. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! When we got back to Nick's we all changed, ordered pizzas, blasted music, danced and played pool until late that night. What a wonderful was to spend Thanksgiving!!!

Chicago

Well, a few weeks ago I traveled to Chicago to visit my best friend Allie at Loyola and my other best friend Andrew "Gebby" at Northwestern. I had so much fun!! I did alot of shopping, particularly book shopping, with Allie in the heart of Downtown Chicago. I bought "The DaVinci Code" and "The Romanovs - The Final Chapter", both are amazing books. Then she and I met up with Gebby and we went out to dinner at an italian restaurant that he had heard about. We talked for a long time about everything that had been going on while at dinner and even had a heated argument over Presidential Elections. My candidate won!!! Anywhoos, we then went out to a movie, "The Incredibles" (AMAZING MOVIE!!!) and then Allie and I headed back for her dorm. I have to admit, it was really hard to come back that morning. I miss them so much but we had a lot of fun and we talk every night so I am never far apart from them. They are the greatest!!!
